My life!

It has been months and months since I have posted anything on my blog! It is now the middle of August, '09 and I can't believe I have been in Portland for over a year!! Things have been a little crazy lately, to say the least. At the end of July I got done helping to teach a 5-week literacy summer school program for kindergartners/1st graders. Boy, was it intense! We had about 15 1st graders and they were very rowdy and academically low. The first 3 weeks I got stress headaches every day, which is very unusual for me, because I NEVER get headaches. But, now it is over and I am missing it! I connected with a lot of the kids and really enjoyed it by the end.

I am still working with a little boy with Autism named Ian, helping him to learn some academics and life skills. I LOVE it. Right now, I am eagerly awaiting the beginning of the school year to begin so that I can work with the children in the Special Ed. dept. It's going to be fun to see all of the kids again!

Well, I would like to write more, but I have to get ready to go work with Ian, so I will write more soon!
